Platform commitments

Content policy & creator rights

Four commitments we make to every creator who builds on Phantom: platform stability, creator ownership of content and audience, a narrow and predictable set of content boundaries, and a transparent takedown process.

1. Platform stability commitments
Rules don't change under your feet.

Creators invest time, audience trust, and brand identity into a platform. Sudden rule changes or retroactive demonetization punish that investment unfairly. Phantom commits to:

  • No sudden rule changes. We give at least 30 days’ advance notice before any policy change takes effect, posted publicly and emailed to active creators.
  • No retroactive demonetization. Content published under rules valid at the time of publication is not retroactively demonetized. New rules apply forward to new content only.
  • Transparent moderation. Every enforcement action is paired with a written explanation stating what policy was cited, why it applies, and how to appeal.
  • Right to appeal. A second human reviewer re-examines every contested action. Reversal restores earnings and visibility within 5 business days.
2. Creator rights
You own what you build. Your audience stays yours.

The relationship between a creator and their subscribers is the creator’s, not ours. Phantom commits to:

  • Creator ownership of content. Every post, image, caption, and prompt history you publish remains yours. We claim no license beyond what your subscribers need to view it on Phantom.
  • Audience portability. You can export your full subscriber list and post archive at any time, in open formats. We will never lock your audience to our platform.
  • No platform-imposed exclusivity. You may publish the same content on other platforms. We do not require exclusivity as a condition of monetization.
  • Direct audience relationships. Messaging, comments, and DM-style interactions occur between you and your subscribers. We do not insert ourselves into that channel for promotion or advertising.
3. Content boundaries
A narrow, predictable set of refusals — nothing more.

AI-generated content is the platform’s purpose, not an edge case. Phantom refuses only a narrow category of content tied to specific harms:

Refused by default: illegal content (CSAM, trafficking, fraud), non-consensual intimate imagery, content that depicts or promotes real-person harm, and impersonation of identifiable private individuals.

Permitted by default: synthetic portrayals of public figures (parody/satire with disclosure), adult content within the law, artistic nudity, and any subject matter that does not fall into the refused set above. We do not add moral or aesthetic preferences to this list without advance notice.

Requires review: any content flagged by automated detection before publication. Review typically completes within 24 hours and resolves to either publication or a written explanation of refusal.

4. DMCA & takedown process
What to send, where to send it, and how fast we respond.

Valid takedown requests are acted on quickly. False or abusive notices are rejected on the merits. Every step is written down so neither party is left guessing.

Where to send a notice: Email phantomaicontent@polsia.app with the subject line containing “DMCA”. Include the URL of the allegedly infringing content, a description of the original work, a statement of good-faith belief, and a physical or electronic signature.

Response timeline: We acknowledge notices within 24 hours and act on valid takedowns within 5 business days. Affected creators are notified in writing with the cited policy and the option to file a counter-notice.

Counter-notice: If you believe content was removed in error, reply to the notification within 10 business days with a counter-notice containing your signature, identification of the removed content, and a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification. We forward valid counter-notices to the claimant and restore content within 14 business days unless the claimant files suit.
